The Appster Tag

Make the code on a live site dynamic.

Code pasted into a live site is stuck. The script in the footer, the stylesheet that themes a form, the block of HTML holding this month's offer: changing any of it means opening the builder again and pasting again, on every site it sits on. Put an Appster Tag there instead. The code the tag serves lives in Appster, in the cloud, so changing it once changes it everywhere that tag is placed.

A tag can hold as little or as much as you like: a single value, a script, a stylesheet, or a block of HTML.

It can also wear your name. The tag is a small script that calls Appster for whatever it should be serving, so by default it is served from an Appster address. Connect a subdomain you control, add two DNS records, and your embeds start using it instead: dev.yourstudio.com/load/pMKekT7_5t_Fq728.js. Point a domain at one client and it serves only that client's codes.

The off switch

Deliver the work. Keep the switch.

Handing over code hands over your leverage. It's on their site, it's working, and the invoice turns into a conversation. Work delivered through an Appster Tag is different: the client's site shows it, and you keep the switch. If an invoice goes unpaid, turn that tag off. The moment it clears, turn it back on.

  • Every tag has its own switch, whether it holds a single value or a whole block of code.
  • Switching off doesn't delete anything. Switch it back on and the work returns as it was.
  • Useful well beyond invoices: pull a broken change off every site at once, or park a seasonal banner until next year.
  • Freelancers and virtual assistants can share work with a client without giving up control of it.

Versions & instant rollback

Every publish is a version. A bad deploy is one click from fixed.

Page builders overwrite code in place, so a broken change is gone the moment you save. In Appster each publish is kept: you can see what changed, who changed it, and when, and restore any earlier version without touching the client's site.

Server-side JavaScript with a URL you can call from anywhere.

Some jobs can't run in the browser: scoring a lead, calling an API with a secret, reshaping a payload before it reaches the CRM. Host that logic as an Appster function and you get a URL to POST to, with a bearer secret you can regenerate and a ready-made cURL command to copy.

  • Every function gets its own endpoint and secret, and a cURL command you can copy.
  • Call it from GoHighLevel workflows and forms, or anything else. It reads GHL form data or JSON, and shows you the fields your code expects.
